The Mag X COR HDD Locating System is a professional locating solution designed for horizontal directional drilling operations. Built by Underground Magnetics and available through Universal HDD — an authorized dealer serving HDD contractors across the United States — this system delivers reliable underground tracking, accurate bore guidance, and integrated data logging for modern drilling crews.

Engineered for contractors performing utility installation, telecommunications infrastructure, pipeline construction, and municipal projects, the Mag X COR provides consistent locating performance across a wide range of soil conditions — from urban environments with heavy interference to open-field utility crossings.

The system combines a rugged stand-up receiver with a high-visibility 4" reflective LCD display and a 7" Android-based touchscreen drill monitor, giving operators real-time access to depth, pitch, and bore path data directly at the rig. With 16 operating frequencies ranging from 0.325 kHz to 41 kHz, the Mag X COR maintains accurate signal detection in challenging underground conditions including rebar-dense areas, active utility corridors, and high-interference job sites.

Integrated data logging allows drilling crews to document every bore rod by rod, record utility crossings, and generate project reports directly from the drill display — simplifying compliance and project documentation without additional equipment or manual record-keeping.
